Fixing a Leaky Faucet Handle
Chances are that if a faucet is leaking around the handle, then a packing nut has come loose or you have a bad packing washer. To repair this type of leaky faucet try tightening the packing nut with a pair of pliers or a wrench. If the leak persists, shut off the water to the faucet. Remove the faucet handle and unscrew the nut. You should now be able to pull off the old packing washer, and take it to a hardware store to find the exact replacement. Once you have purchased the new packing washer simply install it within the faucet. Turn the water back on; and presto-bingo the leak should be solved!
